Lemon Ginger Sharbath

Recipe#29 from Mrs.K.M.Mathews recipe series.
We have reached the second last recipe in this series. I will end the series with easy quick recipes. So here goes an easy homemade sharbath recipe.




Ingredients:

  1. Lime/Lemon juice  - 3 lime/2 Lemon
  2. Ginger juice, thick - 1/4 cup
  3. Water - 8 cups
  4. Sugar to taste
Note:
  • To make a healthy version, replace sugar by honey


Method:

  1. Mix all the ingredients and chill the sharbath in fridge.


Serve with crushed ice or ice cubes

Mango Lassi/ Mango flavoured yogurt

Who doesn't love this simple mango flavoured yogurt aka mango lassi? I never used to like Lassi some time back, actually I had never tasted a Mango lassi before. But once I tasted it....wow.. it was so good that now I have it when ever I can.. :) Mango Lassi have the sweetness from mangoes and the tanginess from yogurt. It used to be made with homemade yogurt and sweet mangoes. Now, that reminds me of the thick yogurt which my Velyamma (aunty) used to make at home. She always got it right... Whenever we went to her house for lunch, she used to have this thick yogurt that she made at home..mmm..
Coming back to the Mango Lassi recipe..



Ingredients:
  1. Mangoes, peeled and cut - 1.5 cups
  2. Plain thick yogurt - 1.4 cups
  3. Water  - 1 cup
  4. Sugar to taste - optional
  5. Ice cubes

Note:
  • Omit sugar if mangoes are really sweet
  • I have used Greek yogurt and Alphonso mangoes to make it
  • Try it as frozen popsicles

Method:
  1. Blend all ingredients in blender to get smooth mango lassi!

Strawberry Matcha Shake

It tastes so delicious and refreshing...the wonderful subtle flavour of matcha brings out the best of strawberry in this milk shake.
Matcha is a special type of green tea powder which has many health benefits in it.. Google it to read the health benefits..

Ingredients:
  1. Strawberry - 5 big
  2. Matcha powder - 1/4 -1/2 tsp
  3. Milk - 2 cups
  4. Sugar to taste
  5. 1ce cubes - few

Method:
  1. Blend all the ingredients in a blender well and enjoy!

Refreshing Papaya Lemon Mint Cooler


Too tired after office work????? Have this refreshing cooler...


Ingredients
  • 1 bowl skin peeled papaya cubes(About half a papaya)

  • half a lemon

  • 6-8 min leaves

  • 2 tsp sugar

  • 1.5 cup water

  • 6-8 ice cubes
Procedure
  • Blend all ingredients well, except ice cubes, in a blender.

  • For the last round of blending add ice cubes and have it with that crushed ice..:)


Note: Depending on your taste you can increase/decrease the qty of papaya.
