Simple sugary snack or dessert!
Ingredients:
- Coconut shredded - 2 cups
- Sugar - 2 cups
- Milk - 2 tbs
- Any color - 2 drops
Method:
- Mix all the ingredients except color in a heavy bottomed pan
- Heat the above pan in medium flame stirring continuously
- As the mixture starts to thicken add the color
- Once the consistency gets sticky
- Pour it on a buttered pan and flatten the top
- Let it cool
- Before the burfi is fully cool, cut it into desired shape
Note:
- Suggested garnish is to top the the burfi with fried cashew nuts and chopped cherries before the burfi cools
- I have dipped some of the burfis in melted chocolate ganache and sprinkled with some sugar crystals
